New Mexico GreenBuilt Tour ’07–May 19th + 20th!

For the last 8 years, the GreenBuilt Tour, put on by the New Mexico Chapter of the US Green Building Council, has provided tour-goers with an array of green homes to explore. As the tour is self-guided, participants are encouraged to educate themselves on all aspects of green building by talking with developers and owners present at each location.
Our own Sunlight Homes’ home/office is included in this year’s tour; which consists of 13 locations spread throughout Albuquerque, Santa Fe and surrounding areas. In 2003, during the construction phase of our home/office, we were part of the tour, and promised that we’d do it again once our home/office was completed. This is great opportunity for those interested to see a small example of what we, and others in our community, are doing in the area of green building.
This year’s tour will take place on May 19th and 20th, from 10AM to 4PM. On the days of the tour you can buy tickets at any of the tour properties, including our home/office in Albuquerque. Tickets are $10 and are also available at La Montañita Co-op, Whole Foods or online here.
Our home office is located on the north side of Albuquerque at 9701 Glendale Ave NE. From Paseo del Norte and Holbrook (between Wyoming and Eubank), drive north on Holbrook to Glendale, then turn right (east) and we’re the 2nd home on the left (green stucco with black solar panels on the roof).
